SHIMON OKSHTEYN (1951 - )

Shimon Okshteyn was born in Chernovitz, in the Ukraine, formally USSR. In 1970, attended the prestigious Odessa Art Academy. After a decade of working and exhibiting his works throughout Russia he immigrated to the United States in 1980.

Okshteyn's artworks have a witty, sexually charged dynamic and provocative style, encompassing brilliant colorations handled with precise skill. He works are sought after Internationally. He works have been shown and are collected by numerous museums and Galleries, including the Whitney Museum of American Art, Brooklyn Museum of Art, Brooklyn, New York, O.K.
